Founder of Virgin Group, Sir Richard Branson and President and CEO of Virgin Voyages announced just last Thursday, that Virgin Voyages is officially now open for business. The Scarlet Lady is the first ship of Virgin Voyages and is now accepting bookings for her inaugural season beginning April 1 through October 25, 2020. Thursday’s announcement at Virgin Voyages sales launch party in New York was also paired with exciting news for Biminites like myself and all lovers of the smallest largest island in The Bahamas.

The Beach Club at Bimini will act as an anchor that will be a feature of every Virgin Voyages cruise. Passengers will have the opportunity to experience the magic of Bimini, dazzling and losing themselves in the white powdery sand and becoming one with the glistening clear waters. It is these elements, merged with programming that Virgin said will have The Beach Club at Bimini rivalling the highly acclaimed beach clubs such as Ibiza and Saint-Tropez.

 

What to Expect from The Beach Club at Bimini

The Beach Club at Bimini is built in partnership with Resort world Bimini and features the designs of the Miami based architects EOA, Inc. that smoothly blends the natural aesthetics of the island with warm earth tone materials. The Beach Club will feature yoga and meditation sessions in the morning and gradually sliding into a higher energy atmosphere in the afternoon followed by a bonfire showing casing an acoustic musical performance that will close out the evening. A DJ-led pool and “flotilla” will bring the day to its highest peak. Bahamian must-haves like snappers, island rum cake and of course the traditional or tropical conch salad will be the inspiration for the Beach Club’s menus. Offering six bars, hammock groves, beach loungers and private cabanas, visitors will be able to tune their setting for the day.
